Our very own Jean Bedford`s Grandaughter, Alice, who is only 12 years old, entered a national competition to find young business talent. Alice pitched her idea to create and sell affordable cardboard pet beds to the BBC`s new show, Pocket Money Pitch, and reached the finals.
But what makes Alice stand out from the crowd is that Alice is donating money from her profits to BDHRA. This is nothing new for Alice because she and her brother, Ollie have already raised hundreds of pounds for us.
Alice has called her pet home business Aleo Pet Products - the first two letters of her name and the last two from her cat, Cleo. She hit on the business idea thanks to her own cat who refused to sleep in a luxury bed bought for her. Check out her website www.aleopetproducts.co.uk more sales for Alice means more money for us.
Alice was one of many, many children who applied to Pocket Money Pitch from all over the country. Following several selection stages, including a Skype audition, she was then chosen to take part in a Dragon`s Den style selection at the Finals which was shown on CBBC channel 5pm on Easter Monday. Why not watch it on Catch-up TV?
