Last year one of our greatest supporters lost her battle against cancer. Councillor Ellis not only represented her village for many years as a District Councillor, she will also be remembered for her unwavering support of the Bedford and District Handicapped Riders Association.

In the year that Councillor Ellis was Mayor of Bedford (2000) she chose our charity to be one of the beneficiaries of her mayoral fund and this gained us £6,000. She visited us frequently and showed great compassion for our riders and joined in with fun at our mounted games, with great enthusiasm.

We feel very privileged to have been supported by such a dedicated person and will miss her.
